In July of 1902, a new saber was adopted for all officers of the U.S. Military. Unique in its acceptance by all the major branches, it borrowed heavily from the light cavalry officers' saber and remained standard issue as long as swords were worn by officers of the army. We are proud to offer this exceptionally well-made replica that is truly a must for any sword collector or student of U.S. history. Blade is slightly curved and single edged, with a false edge extending back 8 1/2" from the point. A broad, deep fuller runs from the ricasso to the beginning of the false edge. Etchings on the blade are identical to the originals. Grip is heavily carved finger grooves and is surrounded by a nickel plated brass guard that is dulled to the original military specs. Complete with scabbard. We were fortunate to come across limited quantities of this beauty and are happy to pass this rare replica on to you. The United States "All-Officers" 1902 measures 37" overall with a 30" blade.
