The US 1860 Naval Cutlass reproduced for your Cival War armory! Made with good attention to detail by a former British military contractor in India. Blade is hand forged from British military spec steel and will flex over 20 Degrees and return to true. This is an authentic reproduction of the cutlass designed by Ames and first carried in 1860. Its 25 1/2" blade and brass basket hand-guard were well suited for the close quarters combat of wooden ships and iron men. Leather scabbard has brass throat and tip, and comes with a leather frog. The sword is 31 1/2" overall in length.
