the Twin Deception is a bargain OK quality the edges are not very sharp but the tips are sharper than most other blades this item impresses most people that see it and
can be used as a short staff then used as short swords the blades are thin and probably would break when blocking most swords but the steel hilt is a fine blocking device and the
swords are only made for stabbing anyway
all around a good buy

I really was expecting more from this. The look of it and price are nice, but the item itself leaves quite a bit to be desired. I like the way it looks on the outside, it seems sturdy enough to make a good baton for whacking things, but the workmanship is only so-so, the silver metal parts could have been formed and cut better, and the locking clasp in the center is little better than worthless. The fact that the button is plastic takes away from the look of it, and the clasp itself is so loose that it only takes a little tug to separate the two pieces, which makes me think it would separate if you gave it a good swing. Then there are the blades themselves, not the worst, but far from the best, they’re like big letter openers. The blades bend like the trunk of a sapling, and they aren’t very stable either. They do have nice points on them, and can stab through cardboard really easily. It’s also a pain to put the blades back together because of the one sunk-in end. Make the blade a bit sturdier, stabilize it, and put a decent locking clasp in it and you’d have a good, versatile weapon.

this item is great for display and was a brilliant price. however the design of the item is not that good. overall i think i got a great bargain anyway cos i only wanted it for display (and showing off to my friends) anyway.

This is a nice blade. It makes absolutely no sound when pulling apart, which I thought added to the whole deception thing. The blades are both balanced. Also don't worry about rusting. Me and friend were throwing them at each other ( typical guy stuff) not very smart. I ended up throwing it in his pool. It made a cool sound when it went in, and it looked like it parted the water the way it hit. Any way don't throw swords over pools especially when its 40 degrees outside, you have to go get them. After I got them out I dried them out the best I could, I still got water out of the inside when I pulled them apart. It stayed like that for two weeks, and no rust. YAY!

It has a cool name and a good look to them but I really wouln't use them to fight with maybe train with them in the back yard but wouln't hit them against anything

I bought this piece because it simply looked cool. If your looking for something to acctualy use dont bother with this item, because you will be seriously disapointed, but if you want it just to look cool, Go for it.

I own a pair of these, and lemme tell ya, you get what you pay for. I bought it at a flea market and they worked well. Until they got stuck and it became hard to unsheath them from one another. So now i have to jimmy it open to seperate them with a knife. Overall, it's an okay weapon, purchase at your own expense.

If your looking for something to actually use, dont get this unless you just want to have something that looks good. The switch thing that holds the two together is incredibly hard to move. The top thin layer of the chrome metal in the center and on the ends starts to peel off after a few months. Edge is only sharp enough to cut throught cardboard at best, tip's are VERY sharp. Overall a good buy for the price.

Quality: Mediocre
Sharpness: False Edge
Functionality: Display only

They look nice and are definitly for display only. There is a very slight edge (like you would find on a butter knife) but the tips are extremly sharp. When sheathing them make sure you don't miss and hit your hand.

The handles are very sturdy and together they feel pretty heavy. They could effectivly be used as a club or even strengthening the wrist.
word of warning you get what you pay for

The swords are fairly inexpensive and as you would expect, fairly cheaply crafted. The locking system is pretty much useless and the blades are really only for show. The blades on mine pulled apart while locked without much resistance and the steel isn\'t that strong. If you\'re looking for a training weapon i wouldnt bother with this piece but if you have a little extra money and want a neat display item you might as well get this.

The blade isn\\\'t real sharp but the tip is very pointy. My brother accidently stabbed me with one in the arm and it goes in pretty smoothly. Be careful.
