Normally I would buy an oriental sword, but something about this one caught my eye. It may have been it's unique style, but once I recieved it in the mail....I was quite astonished to see how awesome this sword is. I use it mainly for stage fighting in school plays. I would reccomend this sword to first timers, or to veterans of the blade.

This sword is without a doubt the best purchase I have made for a very long time. It is made of the finest materials and is fully functional. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a functional, gladius-style weapon. It would also be a fine addition to the collection of a beginner or veteran collector.

This sword is a worthy weapon which is fully functional. My only
regret is that the Roman imperial sword is not edged and available in this format. However, this gladius should have been
gladly carried by any Roman warrior. I do not buy swords that
are unedged or blunt. All swords should be at least a sharpeness
of 5 or better otherwise they are not worth buying. I believe in
realism!!--in every respect. This sword commands my respect

The Roman Gladius sword is well worth the price. The blade is perfect no nicks or dings on it and the scabbard is a good quality leather. The wood handle had a slight crack on it but nothing major. The only problem I can see with this sword is that it is only slightly sharp (that can be good or bad depending on how sharp you want the sword to be). Overall a very nice piece to add to any collection.

This sword is without a doubt the best sword I own. This sword is superbly crafted and is as solid as a rock. I love the fact that the blade is made of carbon steel and not stainless, because stainless just does not feel right. Although the blade does require a little more TLC then stainless blades, it is well worth it to have an authentic feeling sword. I would recommend this sword to any sword enthusiast, novice or otherwise.

The other day i saw a long brown box sitting next to my garage door. i rushed inside and ripped the box into shreds and pulled out the coolest sword ive ever seen. I was like a little 6 year old girl opening a new barbie doll. anyway, i pulled out the sword and immediatly yanked it from the scabbord. I was so excited i didnt even notice i the sword tore my skin on its way out of the scabbord. I was too busy looking at those wicked awesome spikes on the handle. but in a way it was a good thing because i could see how sharp it was. It is VERY SHARP BE CAREFUL. and the wood is alittle lighter then the picyure demonstrates. This sword is a great addition to ANYONES collection

This sword is a beautiful piece and solidly crafted. The parts are tightly fit and the overall look and feel is excellent. When I first opened it, the blade was a little dirty and smudge but I was able to clean it off easily with some light gun oil and paper towel. After that, the blade was smooth and had a nice shine to it.

The only "issue" I have with it is the blade itself isn't very sharp and the leather scabbard it comes with is pretty simple. It does have a defined edge but the overall sharpness is slightly more than that of a butter knife. Of course, some people might not like a highly sharpened sword either.

Overall, this product is excellent and for the price it's a wonderful addition to a collection.

i just got this sword today and it is awsome. i own two other swords, a katana and a rapier, and this one is short compared to the other two.the sharpness on the manufacturer\'s review is average, but i would say it\'s semi-sharp on their review scale. the wood is darker but it still looks great
