Developed from the Burmese "Da" & the Thai "Krabi", the Banshee is a light, superbly balanced slashing & chopping sword for one- or two-hand use. The high-carbon steel forged blade features a rugged full-length tang for power and rugged reliability and is designed with a leather handle wrap. With excellent balance, a spring clip provides positive retention of the sword in the scabbard and, in combination with the included shoulder strap, allows many carrying options. This is the sword of a Warrior or Vagabond!

The Banshee is an excellent and elegant sword. It comes very sharp and already oiled. The sword is also exceptionally well balanced, to the point where you can hold it almost anywhere on the hilt with one hand and it doesn't feel uneven.

The scabbard is hard wood with metal end caps and braces with loops to attach the included shoulder strap.

The shoulder strap itself is simple leather, and is probably the only downside to this package. The hooks on mine came apart and I had to repair them. The strap itself is very, very long. You'll need to be either very large, very muscular, or very fat for the notches it has already made on it to fit you well. Personally, I think the strap is a little on the cheap side, but since it comes with the sword, I don't much mind.

All in all, this sword is well worth the cost.
