Spontoon

	Full Product Description

The Spontoon was developed in the second half of the 17th century, more as an officer signaling device than a weapon, although it undoubtedly saw its share of action in hand-to-hand fighting. This Spontoon is an accurate replication of the British 1800 pattern, a regulation-issue piece carried by color sergeants as late as 1830. The head and tail piece only are provided which are fully functional and are forged blades. The Ash Pole may be used to complete the assembly.
