This unique throwing star, despite its innovative and remarkably striking design, as a weapon is far more practical than I would have expected. Though the arms are retractable, they stay out quite well and their well-thought-out shape and structure makes for remarkable penetration into a target, which is only further assisted by this star's solid weight. Though it looks stunning on a belt for show, Silver Shine Cyclone can be devastating as well.
When throwing this item, proper care must be taken only to grasp it by the tip of one of the arms, or the arm you grasp will likely come back and cut the inner segment of your index finger, as it did mine the second time I threw it. Hence, only those willing to start out cautiously should actually practice with this star. But I can never dissuade anyone from being cautious with edged weapons.
Overall, a fantastic item by all respects for the price.

I got this somewhere else for about 5$ more, so this a a good price for what it is. It's awsome looking and strudy for a fair amount of use. I have used it many times as a knife to open things and stuff. So if you like it get it! It's Beautiful and handy!
