this is a pretty good blade, it was a cheaper buy then some of my swords but it is a nice blade it has a sturdy design the blade isn't the strongest around but its good enough to through a nice apple. the blade wouldn't hold up against traditional and stongly made samarai swords but for the price u get a pretty good weapon to test ur samarai blade handling the cord wrapping someetime can be troublsome when it wants to come off its handle but if u know how to rewrap them its no big task o fix. all and all this is a great sword for someone to start out with it feels powerful!

For decorative use only, These are the absolute cheapest swords out there. Almost always made in Pakistan, the steel itself is quite nice but cannot hold a very sharp edge. It's sheath is two pieces of paperboard or cardboard-type wood nailed with two thin pieces of wood, with a wrapping equivalent of the one wrapped on the blade's handle. I found this gimmicky but unique of these types of swords.
The tassle is actually quite functional, as the bronze piece it's tied to secures the blade in place. The tang is thin piece of metal, welded onto the blade proper. It runs the length of handguard, which is hollowed and made of a very cheap wood. Because of the nature of it's architecture, this sword is NOT ment to be swung. A Purely collector's piece.
