OK, i just got this sword via U.P.S. and I must say it is gorgeous. The handle is stained wood, (oak if I'm not mistaken...and I probably am...) and it has a full leather scabbard that is simply beautiful. This thing is pretty massive. when i put it next to me on the floor the tip comes up to the highest rib on my rib cage and I'm 6' even, so it's pretty tall. The handle is pretty large, definitely a 2 handed weapon, and it feels odd holding it with one hand because the hilt is so fat. the blade comes covered in vaseline to prevent corrosion but is easily wiped off with a paper towel or 2. I actually sliced my palm open a few minutes ago because the blade is so sharp. So all in all this is a great buy. it is beautiful, very sturdy (full tang) and extremely sharp. Only complaint i have is there is a small nick/scratch on the pommel of the weapon. But i am thoroughly pleased with this sword.
