Author: Christopher Kuenzel Quality: Nearly Flawless Sharpness: Sharpened Functionality: No Contact Use having previously purchased a cheap knock-off (insert ridicule here) i quickly ditched and bought this sword. the difference is night and day. the blade doesn't look like it was forged by a 4-year old, the handle looks and feels more solid, better crafted. the balance is nice. honestly, this sword is very nice and i'm happy with it.
Author: Guest Quality: Flawless Sharpness: Sharpened Functionality: No Contact Use Having purchased Marto's "Highlander Sword" several years ago, I had always wanted the sword used in the TV show to complete the set. For those that don't know, a second katana was created for the series that Marto marketed as the "Highlander sword." The sword was slated to be featured in the show, but Adrian Paul complained that the handle was rather bulky. Thus, the "Sword of the Dragon" was born. As the quality in the first sword was excellent, I knew that the replica of the sword actually featured would be of a high caliber. Upon receiving the sword, I was not disappointed. I have seen online articles stating that this katana can withstand some blows, I would not try it. It's a display piece only in my house.

Apart from two bayonets made in France and Holland, dated 1871 & 1883, the Dragon Katana is without doubt my favourite blade. The meer fact that on picking up the sword you are made instantly aware that burglary is no longer something you have to worry about, gives you an insite on the size, weight and sharpness of this sword. It feels and looks great. I have now taken down my "Beware of the Dog" sign.

Very beautiful and clean katana. I love the making on the blade and the feel of it in my hands. Could be used for light contact use with things such as cardboard, but I have never wanted to risk it.
Author: John Campbell Quality: Nearly Flawless Sharpness: Above Average Functionality: Light Contact Use First off i dont know where this whole thing about it being heavy came from as when I first held it and spun it the sword was so light it almost flew out of my hand. I marked it as light contact becasue im not so sure about the peg holding it in one would probably want to switch it with a steel peg. Like I said I have know idea how the kurgan beat Connery when Connery had this.

For starters the quality and detail on the handle are incomparable. The detail on the hand guard are great, you can see every little detail on it. If you have the money for this you have to get it, because i love this sword.

It's a bit tough to unsheathe, but the blade is beautifully pollished, and nicely sharpened. The handle wasn't loose or anything, and it felt neat on my hand. The scabbard's nice too.

It's the sword of Duncan Macleod (Connor's kinsman but from a few years down the line). However, if this is what you want, GET IT!! I have plans to buy it in the comming months. First, it came in this cool red tube that had the Marto logo on it, when I opened it up and took out the actual sword I felt the power of an immortal in my hand. I have to agree with it being slightly heavier than the average katana though...but the detail and the pure quality of the sword make up for it, a gret buy! As for the person who didn't know how Connery lost, Connery himself said: "sometimes the sharpaest blade is not enough..." oh well...
Author: Christian Lopez Quality: Incomparable Sharpness: Very Sharp Functionality: No Contact Use This sword is magnificent. It is a true replica of the sword in "Highlander". I've seen some terrible copies made in China or Pakistan, but this one is amazing, since it's actually made by the company that created the real Highlander sword. Unfortunately, the sword isn't combat ready, since its blade is stainless steel. Other than that, it is an awesome sword and an equally awesome collectible. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of "Highlander" or anyone can appreciate a beautiful sword.
