This is a great sword. I purchased it when I lived in St. Louis, MO. It came pre-sharpend. The weight and balance are excellent. The scabbard is of good quality, although I had to make new straps for the scabbard as the leather is very thin and tears easily. The sword cannot be drawn from the scabbard in the "over-the-shoulder" position as the blade is too long, but the sword is still a great value for the price.

I was kinda bored so I decided to get a reasonably cheap sword, ooh, I found this one, after getting it and recieving it in the mail I took it out back and started hacking away at various objects, Firewood, Baseballs and the like to see what it could handle, Suprisingly I still havn't seen any dents or scratches in it, it is however a slight bit blade heavy, but that just makes it all the more fun to use. This is a wonderful sword if you do not want to damage a different one, due to the fact that this one can take much abuse before showing it.

its a pretty good sword. Its fairly sharp, its got pretty good quality and its inexpensive. Couple of things though. One, the tsuba is loose. Its not coming off, cause its kinda stuck on there being full tang and all, but it rattles around. Also, the sheath that comes with this is not good. Not only did the shoulder straps rip, but so did the sheath itself and I had to sew it back together. I now have the blade wrapped in red velvet and cord which looks very ninja, but I have to rewrap it everytime i use it. Also, its a bit heavy.
This sword takes one hell of a beating, and i would recommend it to most anyone.

This is my first live-steel sword, and I must say I'm rather pleased with it. It is, as people say, a bit blade heavy, but i have strong arms and can control it quite nicely so it's not really a problem. The blade is machine-sharpened so don't really expect much there, but the steel is fairly good, and I managed to hone the blade rather well with a wetstone. The scabbard straps are quite weak, but it's alright. I just got rid of 'em altogether and carry it around without the harness, as it really isn't necessary. The sheath can be used independent of it.

this sword is great. once i got it i immediately chopped down some mediocre branches. my friend taught me to swing it properly and soon i took out a 4 inch diameter branch within a few well placed powerful swings. heavy, but im strong and used to it. great sword for messing around with. excellent price for its quality. only problem is the thing that protects your hand (forgot what it is called) came loose after a a day or two of excessive use.
This was the first sword I bought with SwordsOnline and it was this sword that convinced me to buy more. This sword can take a hell of a beating, it can easily chop through shelves/drawers etc with enough force. The blade isn't very sharp when it arrived, but I have managed to sharpen it slightly myself. This sword is quite heavy, expecially for a katana, but it is still well balanced and not to difficult to use. All in all, a great sword and a must buy for any sword collecting beginners on a tight budget.

As my first sword I wanted something relativly inexpensive but, something I could use to chop things up. This sword was the best match of what I wanted. For the price this is a very affordable sword. When I took it out of the box one of the first little problems I noticed about this sword was the hilt being a little loose and making a rattling noise. But I don't think the hilt will be going anywhere soon. There are a few nicks and this sword is not for someone that is looking for a perfect sword with no blemishes but all and all some nicks and dings are to be expected for the price of the sword. The scabberd is of poor quality, but it serves the purpose of holding the sword. As for the functionality of the sword, I have cut many boxes, watermelons, and cleaved small pieces of wood in half and the sword has taken no damage.
I would definatley recomend this sword to a first time buyer with a tight budget and wants a full functional sword.

This is a sick sword! I'm a (very mature) fourteen year old and I'm extremely happy my parents let me buy this! This sword can take a huge beating, I've been chopping at the trees in my back yard and I had to stop because I'm pruning them too much. After that I started hitting the trunks (you know how boredom is). There are no chips, no dents and the only proof is the sap stuck to it. It's also great for practicing with. It's been said in other reviews that It's a little heavy which is true. I weighed it and it's around 3 pounds, just to give you an idea. What you can't see in the picture is the design on the tsuba which is a dragon with two warriors , which is pretty cool.
The only things I can complain about are that it is a little heavy and it could be sharpened a little more. Otherwise this one great sword.

I just got this sword about a week ago, and it is awesome! Some other reviews say its a bit heavy, but that makes up for the sharpness. But don't get me wrong, its sharp enough. A skilled enough swordsman could cut a 4x4 in half(I already did). Its a great sword for it's price, and also good for ninjutsu, just don't try to use stealth with it, the tsuba is very reflective, as is the blade. It's the size of a katana, so it's very big for a ninja-to. I would recommend it to anyone.

First off, this is an awesome sword for the price, I was extremely pleased with the sword itself as there were no loose bits whatsoever. It's not that sharp, but could easily be sharpened and will probably hold it's edge fairly well. It is a bit on the heavy side but what can you expect from a big #ss chunk of steel? Anyway, real swords ARE heavy and it's good for working up arm and wrist strength. So the sword is great, what about the sheath? Well, I have to say, it's the biggest piece of cr#p I've ever seen called a sheath. The sheath itself is made from the cheapest possible leather and probably won't stay together all that long, plus it doesn't even seem like it's made for this sword, as the tsuba doesn't fit in unless you stretch the top of the scabbard. As for the so-called 'shoulder straps', the only thing they're good for is a laugh. Firstly the straps don't actually connect to the scabbard, they just loop around it, so if you were stupid enough to try and wear it, the scabbard would fall off the sword onto the floor and the blade would probably cut through the straps in no-time. Secondly the straps are as weak as p*ss and the clips are even worse, so even if it did somehow hold the sword, it would break almost straight away.
So is it worth it? Damn straight, for this price I'd say it's still a great bargain, even if the sword is the only part that's worth anything.

I just got this sword today and WOW. For my first sword from swords online it's awseom. The full tang makes it very very strong, the blades not as sharp as a razor like my old sword but it's sharp enough to go through a 1 inch thich paloverde. The design on the gaurd is cool the dragon fighting the two wariors is great decor for this blade. The only thing that was a disapointment was the sheath. While good for the price it could be better, I'll probabally just make one, but other than that I highly recomend this as a first sword, the weight is great for building muscles.

I payed more than I should have, and bought it from a local store, but I have nothing but good things to say about it. The blade is easy enough to sharped and maintain, and being as cheap as it is, I have absolutely no qualms against putting it through it's paces. The handle is one of the most comfortable fitting smooth handls I've ever held. The weight is awesome for a katana style sword (for those who own one, Tell me you don't love the extra weight on it).

this is a great sword. when i got it i was kinda surprised at how big it was and how heavy it is. it's very sturdy but it's not really sharp. the only problems i had with it were the sheath and there were some smalls scratches and marks on the blade and tang. but overall a great sword for the price.

I have had this sword for nearly 2 years now and I must say for the price it holds up pretty well. I will be the first to say I abused this blade seeing as it was my first and I was . . . Well a kid with some thing shiny but despite all the abuse I have given it, it has served me well un like some of the other reviews I don’t think the sheath was all that bad at first the fitting was a bit difficult but after a wile it seamed to fit better the only problem I have had with this blade is the guard rattles a bit but nothing to bad I recommend this item to any one who is looking for a starter, or a realistic training sword I have loved my’n ever scents I bought it

i am a very experienced and knowlagable weapons expert. i have seen and felt many swords. some with manufactured steel and many with folded steel. this sword is good for beginners and the price is fair for it. but to all of the other experiences sword colectors and martialartists i would recomend getting a different sword.the blade is easy to sharpen but knicks and dulls very easy comppared to other hand madeweapons for combat. but overall its a good buy for anyone that just likes swords

I bought this sword at a festival and the two things I noticed at the time were that it was full tang, and really cheap. I do theatrical fight choreography on the side and there was one point when the sword was called into service. I had one of my actors using the sword for several weeks and it held up fairly well. There were occaisonal marks on the blade, and it has all the balance of a framing hammer, but it took considerable less damage than the other weapon and despite taking hundreds of hits, is still part of my collection. It won\'t be the prize of anyone\'s collection, but if you want something cheap to beat up on, it\'s a good pick.

Good sword, be careful whe you take it out of the box i got a 1mm gash in my finger by touching the blade. The sheath is not as bad as people say it is, so don't worry. The gaurd is not gold-looking like in the picture but it is silver with a cool design. Awesome weight, really wide blade (and also thick) good for full contact for sure. Highly recommend it!!!
