The Full Tang Ninja Katana II is better than I expected, what with it being a shorter blade than traditionally speaking. It is definitely built extremely solid. When I first recieved it, the blade sharpness wasn't all that great, there were even some small burrs because it was machine sharpened. Despite this, it was easy to clean up with a small, cheap whetting stone, and now the blade could easily take out a small tree with one skilled strike. As I said, it's handling is a little awkward because of it's length, but it is extremely quick once you get the hang of it. But I am still trying to figure out how to use the straps to get it to stay on my back properly...

I bought my Full Tang Katana II in a store before I saw it here. I bought it because I wanted a sword to beat the *** out of. I had all these nice swords that I didnt want to damage, so I saw this one which looked kind of cheap. I get it home and go outside with it in my backyard. My brother had a log laying around so I took a swing. No damage to the blade at all, fair damage to the log. The sword was meant to be replaced after I annhilated it. However to this day I have yet to find a sword that can take a beating like this one can. I now understand that the quality rating is a craftsmanship rating and not a functionality rating. I am glad this has been cleared up. Anyway, I recommend this perfectly balanced sword to everyone.

Really fun sword. Incredibly solid and Durable for it's price. Really could use a little sharpening, but it's a great starter for people interested in the world of weapons. The back-held sheath is well made as well. The only quams that i have with this is that It needs to be sharpened out of the box.

I recieved the sword via ups, and the first thing i did was cut up the box it was in, fairly easily. It is a very sturdy sword with a fairly nice edge. At first, the edge doesnt seem like much, but thats probably because you've never used a sword before. Once you get a feel for the blade, it is fairly easy to chop up anything you want. It is easy to resharpen, if you use it that much. Just what i wanted for the price.

This is probably the best sword you can buy for that kind of money. It's funny that your saying its averagely crafted and sharpened. I took it out of the box in my back yard, aaaaaand, promptly chopped a sapling in half. Course my mom grounded me for a week but, anywho, this is a must have for anyone who wants a functional and sharp sword, and cant afford the practical plus katana should buy this weapon.

It's a great piece. It's appropriatly sharpened till you learn how to use it.Afterwards you can sharpen it.It's got a flawless hilt.Great quality sword. The scabbard is really low quality. It's poorly wrapped and poor design.Personally I think the sword makes up for the scabbard.I'd buy it again.

i got this sword about two days ago. a friend and i both got one. they are awesome. this is an extremely affordable sword. it meets my personal requirements for swordbuying. full tang or one piece construction, looks good, and is not terribly expensive. i honestly would have paid upwards of 50 dollars for this sword. the only marks down i give this item is that the scabbard sucks. sucks a lot. buy another or make your own. its cheap wood and poorly wrapped. it'll last a little while but not under even light use. the blade could also be sharper but that is easily fixed. what it boils down to is that you should buy this sword if you want a function katana that will stand up to punishment and is a more than fair price.

This is the best of all my swords and is perfectly balanced. It is ment for combat.Even with my left hand I swing it very hard.
I orderd 2 and they are weird when you first handle them but you get use to it.Overall I give these swords a 10.00 out of 10.00

this is definitly a nice sword for me it feels almost perfect nice handle and the blade is in good shape but i need a little sharpening...very nice sword but the scabbard sucks cheap wood oh well still have a great sword

I got this sword with the full tang ninja Katana I and the two swords compliment each other perfectly. The full tang ninja katana I is heavier and longer for your strong hand and the lighter shorter ninja katana II is perfect for your off hand. For the price this sword is perfect. It is blemished a little but, this is to be expected for the price of this sword. When I took it out of the box, I noticed that at the top of it there a tiny chunk missing out of the blade. The scabbard is wood so be very careful when unseathing and sheathing this sword because the scabbard can easily be damaged. The leather straps of the scabbard became loose after one days use, and parts of the cloth wrapping are coming loose. This sword is not as sharp as its companion but it is balanced better and you can wield it longer because it's not as heavy.

It can cut through boxes, watermelons and thin pieces of wood but you need to apply force to be able to cut. As with the full tang ninja katana I, I would recommend this to a first time buyer on a tight budget looking for a great sword to chop things up with.

I got mine today, and diced the hell out of the box it came in, as well as a heavy-duty roll of cardboard and some apples. The thing feels much heavier when it is being carried than when it is being weilded, because it is so well balanced. If you swing it right it can go through a tough target without a problem, and I don't know if it will get dull quickly since it is so new, but it will sharpen well as there is plenty of metal. The handguard is made of steel, despite its appearance on the online pictures, and it could take a whole lot of punsihment. The sheath does leave something to be desired, but since the sword itself is worth more than the price being asked, the sheath is really just a throw-in. There is no weak point of this sword, a quality product all around.

For the price, you really can't complain. I haven't tested the edge or functionality of this sword yet, but it should hold up well. My only real complant is with the sheath, it's quality is far below that of the sword. I ordered two, and one of the sheaths had a faulty strap. Like I said, for the price, not much room to complain.

This is a great sword for a great price. The sword itself is very nice though not that sharp. It can take a lot of abuse without anything happening to the hilt or the blade. My only complaint (yep, same as everyone else) the scabbard is terrible. if you draw the sword out the wrong way there will be wood shavings on it. the wood is really poor quality and feels like you could snap it easily. However, dont let that stop you from enjoying this great value. the sword is worth much more than what it is being sold for.

I got this sword in the mail and proceeded promptly to mutilate the box with it. This sword is awesome. It's not all that sharp, but that's not a problem, unless you're too lazy to sharpen it yourself. The scabbard, like everyone else says, isn't very good. But the sword itself is worth more than you're paying already. I'm definitely glad I bought it.

This sword is nearly perfect, it has an extremely sturdy design that can take alot of abuse through tough cutting strokes. its not very traditional at all, but the beauty of this sword lies within its functionality, i have used it as a machete, axe and a can opener for months now, but yeah can you guess it? like all of the people before.. i must say the scabbard indeed sucks a**, i was wearing it on my back one day and one of my friends ran right by me and knocked right into it, bending it at a perfect 90 degree angle, it turns out the scabbard is made out of some cardboard like material with a few nails in it to hold it together, well as for its sharpness.. theres not much to be said,
its a 30 degree machined edge... well the final conclusion is, if you want a cheap sword that can cut practically anything and never needs to be sharpened, look no further

this sword is realy nice. on the one that i got (and prolly everyone elses most likely) the balance point of this sword is about 1 inch away from where the blade meets the handle, so it's almost perfectly ballenced wich is a realy good thing seeing as the sword is about 2 1/2 lbs or so, and when you hold it you cant even feel it. also, it has not come loose yet and i dont expect it to either. the handle is nice and long also but the one thing i did not like was that mine wasnt very sharp at all. so it need some REAL sharpening. over all i would rate this sword as a 9/10 and it is realy realy nice. i say buy it. but the sheath does kinda suck. but still awsome.

The very first impression I had about this sword is that its short. VERY short. I do iaido and we use bokkens and iaitos, which are the same length as real katanas. I do realize that it would be pretty impossible to draw the sword out of your back if it was longer, but still, I hate the sword due to it's shortness.

Another thing that bugs me is that it feels too sturdy. The blade is very thick. Also, the handle is very large compared to the size of the blade as well, adding to the feeling.

The straps on the scabbard are pretty thin and they feel frail. Not good. Another thing about them is that you can't tighten them at all, so if you're a slim person, prepare to replace them or create some devious plan to do... Something.

The good thing about this sword, however, is its low cost. 24 euros wasn't bad, but I'm more annoyed about the fact that I didn't buy a real katana. Of course I had other items in the package, but that's another story ;)

Bottom line: Good for ninja operations and hacking through stuff, bad for professional use.

my friend has one and i love it! stainless steel rivets, full tang construction (duh!). and kind of short but no prop cause i know how to use lots of stuff (nunchaku, sais, and other stuff).

it looks pretty and is nice and heavy for building those arm muscles but don't try carving pumpkins with it...my friend and I were doing a little pumpkin "clean-up" using a plastic bucket as a chopping block. however, on about the 5th swing the blade snapped in half revealing a cheap ceramic core inside the steel blade. lesson learned: don't use cheap katanas for any kind of contact. however, it was nice to carry around as a prop but the sharpness was useless when it can break so easily.

I got this sword as a Christmas present and it is wonderful. It is a little heavier than I thought but it is well balanced. I've diced a few things with it and there are no marks on the blade other than the few blemishes it came with. I'd say it well worth getting.

Awesome first sword if i must say so myself. It's not razor sharp and the construction is very basic but still, it's a functional sword with very nice balance. I wouldn't recommend going full contact blade to blade because it's made of 420 stainless steel and isnt made for that kind of impact. Softer targets such as wood would probably be more practical.

i bought one of these last year and i got tempted to hit a peece of steel a little bit thicker than the edge. the blade got nicked but not very bad. all i had to do was dull it with electric grinder then re sharpin it. its a good full contact weapon for a low price.note if you atempt to grind it be very carefull or you will scratch up the blade if it slips!

this blade is awesome, very plain, but very strong and well made, i cut a pumpkin in half, 1 swipe, decently sharp, nicley balanced. from now on my motto is, if it isnt full tang, dont buy it. o yea, backstrap sux.

I got this sword about a year ago, and at first I wasn't impressed with it because let's face it... It's not the prettiest sword on the block. But! I tried cutting some stuff with it, (ie: boxes, tree branches, ect.)and it is extremely durable. I own a large collection of weapons, and I have to say, this is the most functional of them all! It doesn't come very sharp, but if you know what you're doing, that can easily be fixed. It's a bit heavy, but I counted that as a major plus for training. It's not a wall hanger, it's meant for full contact use. A little warning though, the straps are pieces of junk. I would recomend just taking them off, or rigging something better that works. The scabbard is junk too. It'll work if you're carefull putting the blade in and out, but it leaves wood particles on the blade. I would say overall, it's a MAJOR STEAL for the price, and definitely fully functional for practice. Like I said... BUY BUY BUY!!!

the fact that this sword is full tang is more than an excuse to buy it. extremely durable (except for a loose-ish handguard), this sword isn't going to fall apart any time soon. i wouldn't reccomend any heavy fighting as the blade isn't exactly top-quality steel.

I love this sword, my only complaint is the straps with the sheath are garbage and the crossguard is a little loose. Otherwise this sword is great. I was able to cut through a piece of 1 inch ash dowling with ease.

I saw this exact sword on the History channel program "Conquest", being demonstrated in its practical use; so I decided to buy one. When I received it I noticed it was quite heavy for such a short sword; but that didn't matter, because its very finely balanced, about two inches from the guard (tsuba). The handle is very long in proportion to the blade, which makes it feel kind of odd, but it gives you absolute control of the blade. The thick handle is very smooth, but not slippery, providing a very comfortable and secure grip. The rivets do not stick out. The edge is not that sharp, which really dissapointed me. The edge is sharpest near the tang, but dulls out tword the point. Sharpening it is not that easy, since it is a very thick blade. Despite this swords lack of appropriate sharpness, it still performs great cutting action; I used it to cut down a small banana tree. The sword has a sharp point, but thrusts with this sword are not very deadly, due to the limitations of the strongly accented tanto style tip. However, with enough force, and with the combined weight of the sword, one can punch the point of the sword through almost anything. The scabbard (sageo) is not as bad as everyone sais. It is a bit flimsy and the shoulder straps are delicate, but it does house the sword nicely, and looks appealing. One thing I noticed about this sword that bugs me is that there appears to be permanent marker markings on the spot were the handle meets the guard. Why the fabricator did this I dont know but it looks bad. It seems like they were trying to cover up some paint blemishes. You cant expect more, since the sword is made in Pakistan. All in all, this is a very decent sword; it looks cool, it has significant historical appeal, its funtional, and is very fun to swing around. It makes a very good martial arts practice sword as well.

I love this sword. I like that it's short and that it's sharp. The handle has a kitchen knife feel to it, so if your a Iron Chef you'd know how to handle it. Of course my only complaint is that awful sheath. I couldn't put my sword in mine be cause they binded the wood (which is loose) to hard with the wrapping. So I had to carefully pull it apart. But besides the useless sheath buy this one or it might be discontinued someday.

this a very nice sword, the price has been lowered even more since i purchased it.
it truely is an amazing deal.
like everyone else i have to say that the sheath is not the best in the world, the straps are not made of leather, and the wood is....well crap.
I ordered it on the 18th of july, and it came on the 25th of august due to long string of "reasons".

it is full tang, it is fairly sharp, though i am going to shapen it more, the gaurd wobles a bit.

but even with all these complaints i like it quite a bit, i cant wait to hang it with my other swords.
