this practice sword isn't a single bamboo piece with smaller strips attatched on the out side but incomplete stirps bound together. The thing completely owns in duels with budies of mine, it hurts but the bound together strips won't break any bones, exept maybe your finger or nose if you get hit there hard enough. it broke other practice swords, mostly hard wood diatos, it got marked but didn't crack until it got smashed by one of several fiberglass staves I have
