The Cup Hilt Rapier is one of the most elegant of all swords. The rapier's endless variation of wire baskets and cup guards also offered good hand protection, the cup-hilt being the best of these. With two fingers over the guard the hand tucked down into the cup for excellent cover. The thin, long blade is offset by the mass of the entire hilt made for lightning-like point speed and control. Our offering has nickel plate on the pommel, guard and cup to give it a rich luster, while the grip is hand carved bone. A very attractive piece. Comes with a scabbard included. High carbon steel.
