Okay, I purchased these with the idea that they would be cool and effective, and they are. I am pretty good with nunchaku and learned with the natural wood $10 pair on this site. I tried to use these and found that they hold up extremely well and they should being steel after all. But you need a cinder block and a hammer to close them.
This is a proplem one could deal with if they were smaller. These are just too big for me and for most of you, seeing that I am 6\\\' tall and of large build. If you are looking into using or learning nunchaku you should know how to measure them.
There are two rules of thumb. First the baton, when placed on your forearm, should reach from your elbow to half way across the palm of your hand. Second, the chain connecting the baton should be about the width of your hand. If the nunchaku (or given baton measurements)don\\\'t meet these standards you could easily hurt or kill yourself with some of the more gutsey moves.
