buy 2 of these if you want really any use out of them, i bought 2 and they are great for practicing for twin kodachi style. I like holding them blade-down for fast combo attacks. just be carful with them, they can hurt people. I was using them against my friends full length katana boken and i got hit in the eye and couldnt see for 4 hours. just avoid head shots.

I just recieved my shoto in the mail about a week ago. I haven't really had time to test its functionality, but I can tell by the way it looks and feels that it can take a beating. The guard is cheap plastic, but who cares, you're not going to be marching to war with this sword anyway. I would reccomend this sword if you want to spar with your friends without killing them. In fact, buy two. I would also like to reccomend the Hardwood Daito Practice Sword. Although I don't own it, I'm sure it's similar to the Shoto.

I bought two of these so I could dual wield against my friends. Simply put, it has stood up to the challenge and then some. It will take some bruises, but all in all mine takes quite the beating without any signs of complaint, and there isnt any chance of cutting yourself with it. I would recomened it to anyone looking for a good practice short sword.
