I bought this sword as an early Christmas present for myself, and I have to say it is a really nice sword. The balance is quite good, it's a bit heavier than it looks, but can easily be swung with two hands, although one-handed blows are also possible. The sword looks really impressive, like it's taken right from the medieval times. Taking a closer look, you can see small imperfections on the crossguard, but the wooden handle is very nice work, although a bit too thick for my hands ;) Also, the sharpening of the blade was done very unevenly - some places it was really sharp (too sharp to make the sword safe to play around with), other places it had almost no edge.

The sheath, however, is quite poor quality. The leather was poorly colored, after a few uses it started to crack up a bit as well, it looks quite unimpressive and if you try to draw your sword from it while it's hanging in the belt, you're quite likely to cut yourself soon, as it hands straight down. A belt made for swords might do the trick, I'm thinking of buying one.

I would truely recommend this sword to anyone that want a nice looking, not-too-pricey sword they can play around with.

I bought this sword to begin learning some basics of swordsmanship. This sword is a flexible implement, being a one or two-handed weapon. The blade is well balanced and has good tang. I tested the blade on a wooden pell, and it kept its edge well. It did not stand up too well against metal, leaving knicks in the blade. The sheathe is good enough to store the blade, but the belt loop hangs vertically and makes the draw angle awkward. After several uses, the wooden handle began to split. All in all, a fair weapon for honing your skills.

Ok, I just got this sword for Christmas and it was everything i wanted. It nice and sharp and very strong and sturdy. It looks almost like a cross between the CAS Iberia war sword and the picture you see up there. It comes With a thick coat of oil so it doesn't rust in shipping. You might want to wipe the blade down when you get it down. It comes with a note of authenticity. The sheath is very much like the other valiant armory sword's sheaths. Be careful of you'll cut yourself. As soon as i got it i went outside to test it. I cut about an inch into a stump with little effort. The blade was fine after. Personally, the best sword ever. Really.
