This is an excellent sword, recommended for light contact use but only to parry with the flat of the blade. It is heavy and difficult to use at first but with a little practice you'll get on all right, providing you choose to use it. It is expertly balanced and a beautiful sword, perfect for display, but functional should you choose to use it. (not recommended)

This is a beautifully crafted sword. It's very heavy but well balanced and it is functional should you need it to be. It definitely takes you back to 800 BC. An excellent addition to any collection.

This sword is OK I\'ve seen worse I own better.
When I got it the handle siained my hands blue, and the blue would not wash off for four days so make sure you hold it with a paper towel. Also the blade was covered in some sticky substance I still
haven\'t gotten off. I have owned it for about three to four years.

As another reviewer stated, the handle also dyed my hands blue and a sticky substance coated the blade. It took some time to get it all off, but the sword looks excellent when it is cleaned up.

The design of the sword is nice and I like the lines. My only complaints are that the pommel isn't completely sturdy (slightly loose), and my blade has a very slight twist to it.

I'm willing to accept the defects, as it is a battle-ready sword and not so much a show piece. But, I honestly expected better build quality for the price.
