In 1867 the Samurai were banned from carrying swords. This attempt to end a thousand year tradition was not received lightly by the proud warrior class and the "stick katana" was born. Innocuous walking canes now concealed the revered blades and the katana, the "Soul of the Samurai", lived on.

Created by today's Oriental master smiths, the Bamboo Staff Katana combines an atrfully carved "Bamboo" scabbard and grip with a razor-sharp blade hand forged and tempered in the style of the Japanese masters, using the traditional sculpted clay method of tempering to produce a genuine temper line. The superior edge-hardness and resilient blade produced by this technique embody the true secret of the Samurai sword. As befits a sword of this quality, each katana is supplied with a traditional boxed maintenance kit and full maintenance and handling instructions.

In order to price match an item we need to insure that the item we are price matching is in fact the exact same items and not illegal knockoff items.
