Let's see... where to start...
First of all, their heavy, so don't drop them on your toes.(I think their made of cast iron.) The are quite solid, and can be used for fighting, their dull, octagonal and don't have much for a tip.
The guard on one of mine, is slightly higher than the other, but they are still equal in length.
It doesn't seem to be weighted properly for spinning, but that could just be me, and the fact that I don't know how...
There's no chrome finish on them, like in the picture, but just as well if you are using them for fighting; which they are fully capable of.
I said average for the quality, because its kind of hard to tell.
Overall, their pretty good, especially for the price.

These were my first pair of Sai, and when I first pulled them out of their box, my hands dropped. They are very heavy, so you have to work with them, but they are so cool. I can't seem to spin them with my fingers yet, but that is because they are not long enough and I have to work with them first. I can twirl them like Gennifer Garner from "Elektra" can really well, and do all of her moves along with others I made up. So from what I can tell you, these are very cool Sai that will make anyone happy. I got to go because I have to choreograph a fight scene with them for a home movie I'm working on. Sweet Sai!!!

These feel like they are made of wrought iron. They are heavy, but completely managable with practice. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they came covered in some kind of grease -- easily remedied. They have good balance and fit well in the hands. The black finish was chipped in a couple places and the leather on the handles was scuffed a bit. But overall, a solid purchase. Great value for the price!

These things are sick! It took about 3 weeks to get here but it was worth it. They have pretty well made leather but it is scuffed a bit. They are not tipped but they are great for sparring and display. This will be a very unique peice in my collection. Overall I love these sai and they are a really good buy for 25.95!

wow, these things are great. they\'re really strong so they take a beating. but on the downside, since i like to throw them, the black finish wears off quick. i origional thought they would be too long at 18 inches, but in my hands they feel a bit tiny. lastly, i dont consider it a downside, but 1 is heavier than the other. all in all i consider this a great buy
